Pistol Caliber Carbine (PCC)
Description:
This is a new discipline and we are still working out some of the finer details.
At this time, these matches will be scheduled as the club deems practical. Please check the club calendar, especially if there’s a 5th Saturday in the month.
The course of fire is similar to the ViMBAR / ViMSAR matches. Five stages, usually ten rounds per stage, shot from all the basic positions. Prone, sitting/kneeling and standing.
There will be a timed ‘tie breaker’ stage.
Target distance ranging from 25yds to about 250yds. All steel plate targets of various sizes.
Required Equipment:
For this event, A PCC is defined as a shoulder fired carbine in a pistol caliber over .32. Any barrel length up to 18″ is allowed.
Iron sights, basic red dot or ‘dot and circle’ sights are allowed. Only one set of sights may be used for the entire match. No magnified or reticle sights allowed.
Fixed and collapsible stocks are allowed.
The rifle has to stay in the same configuration for the entire match.
We specifically prohibit the use on the line of range finders, wind flags, or other such items as deemed “prohibited” by the match designers. In that vein, we often invoke “Spirit of the Game”, the original adage of the ever popular Cowboy Action Shooting™

Equipment:
Sandbags, ammo cans, field packs, helmets, etc. may be used as a rest. A mat or tarp may also be used for shooting. These will all be supplied at the match.
