July 2019 ViMSAR Match

Warm with light winds for this month’s match. Five stages, all ten rounds, starting with:

Stage One. From prone supported position, alternate targets at 300 and 225yds.

A double tap Nevada Sweep on Stage Two, with targets at 400, 300 and 200yds. Sitting unsupported. Two points for all hits at 400yds. No sight adjustment after the first shot.

Two ‘grenade’ shots to blow up the ammo dump to start Stage Three. Then engage targets at 200 and 150yds from standing position. Two points for all hits on the ammo dump.

Eight rounds alternating targets at 300 and 200yds. on Stage Four. Then shooters choice to either continue or engage a small 400yd. target, for three points per hit. From sitting supported position.

The grenade pitch and six pistol rounds to start Stage Five. From any unsupported position, engage targets at 220, 160 and 120yds, Nevada Sweep.

Possible high score of 71.

May 2019 ViMSAR Match

Steve, Bill and Jim set up five stages, all ten rounds, for this month’s match.

A shooter’s choice on Stage One. Engage a single medium 300yd. target with five rounds. Then either stay on that target or engage a small 300yd. target with five more. Two points for all hits on the smaller target. From prone supported position.

Alternating targets at 400 and 175yds. on Stage Two from sitting supported position. No sight adjustment after the first round.
Sitting unsupported on Stage Three, engaging targets at 300, 225 and 175yds. with a Nevada Sweep.

Alternate targets at 200 and 150yds on Stage Four, from standing position. Snipers engaged targets at 400 and 200 yds. from sitting supported position.

The tie breaker, Stage Five, started with the grenade pitch and then six pistol rounds at a 20yd. target. Then from any unsupported position, engage targets at 120, 160 and 220yds, Double Tap Nevada Sweep.

Possible high score of 64.

April 2019 ViMSAR Match

A bright day with light winds that freshened as the match progressed. Five stages, all ten rounds. Snipers shot the same course of fire unless otherwise noted.

Prone supported on Stage One, alternating targets at 300 and 220yds.

Engage a 400yd. target until hit twice to start Stage Two. All remaining rounds on a 175yd. target. No sight adjustment after the first shot. Sitting supported.

Sweeping targets at 300, 225 and 300yds from sitting unsupported position on Stage Three.

From standing position, engage a single 200yd. target on Stage Four. Snipers engaged a single 400yd. target from sitting supported position.

The grenade pitch to start Stage Five, the tie breaker. Then six pistol rounds at a small 25yd. target. Engage targets at 125, 160 and 220yds. Nevada Sweep from any unsupported position. Two points for all hits on the far target.

Possible high score of 61.
