May ViMBAR Match

Beautiful weather for this month’s match. Jim and Bill set up five stages, all ten rounds, starting with:

  • A ‘shoot-til-you-hit, shoot-til-you-miss’ scenario on Stage One. From prone supported position, targets at 300 and 200yds.
  • Targets at 100, 200, 300 and 400yds. on Stage Two. Engage until hit and move. From sitting supported position.
  • ‘Shoot-til-you-hit, shoot-til-you-miss’ again on Stage Three. From sitting unsupported, targets at 175 and 200yds.
  • Six pistol rounds to start Stage Four, shot one handed. Then another ‘shoot-til-you-hit, shoot-til-you-miss’ scenario with targets at 150 and 200yds. >From standing position.
  • The tie breaker, Stage Five, started with all weapons unloaded. Load on the clock. First the grenade pitch, then six pistol rounds at a 25yd. target. And the final ‘shoot-til-you-hit, shoot-til-you-miss’, with targets at 160 and 220yds.

Possible high score of 65.

April ViMBAR Match

Beautiful weather for this month’s match. Jim and Bill set up five stages, all ten rounds, starting with:

  • Stage One, Hostage. From prone supported position, engage a single 250yd. target. Minus one point for each hit on the hostage.
  • A Nevada Sweep on Stage Two, from sitting supported position. Targets at 200, 400 and 300yds. No sight adjustment after the first shot.
  • Sitting unsupported on Stage Three, alternating two targets at 175 and 225yds.
  • Alternate two 20yd. pistol targets with six rounds to start Stage Four. Then from standing position, alternate target at 175 and 200yds.
  • A choice of grenades to start Stage Five. One point for the pineapple, two for the stick grenade. Then engage a single 25yd. pistol target, six rounds. From standing position, alternate targets at 160 and 220yds. Move to any unsupported position, reload and engage again.

Possible high score of 66.

A great turnout for this month’s match, and perfect weather. Jim and Bill set up five stages, all ten rounds unless otherwise stated.

  • A speed challenge on Stage One, with sixty seconds to fire a maximum of 15 rounds at a single 250yd. target. From prone supported position.
  • Sitting supported on Stage Two, engage twice and move, with targets at 400, 300 and 200yds. No sight adjustment after the first shot.
  • ‘Shoot-til-you-hit, shoot-til-you-miss’ on Stage Three, with targets at 175 and 225yds. From sitting unsupported position.
  • Six pistol rounds to start Stage Four, at a generous 35yd. target. Then, from standing position another ‘shoot-til-you-hit, shoot-til-you-miss’ scenario with targets at 150 and 200yds.
  • The tie breaker, Stage Five, started with the grenade pitch. Pistol and rifle were both shoot-til-you-hit, shoot-til-you-miss. Pistol targets at 20 and 30yds. Rifle targets at 160 and 220yds.

Possible high score of 70.
