July 2019 ViMBAR Match

It’s getting hot out there !! But we still had a pretty good turnout for our first match on summer hours. Jim and Bill gave us five stages, all ten rounds unless otherwise stated.
Sixty seconds to fire a maximum of 15 rounds on Stage One. Engaging a single 250yd. target from prone supported position.

Sweep far to rear and repeat on Stage Two, with targets at 400, 300, 200 and 100yds. Bonus points for all hits on the farthest target. Sitting supported. No sight adjustment after the first shot.

A ‘shoot-til-you-hit, shoot-til-you-miss’ scenario on Stage Three, with targets at 200 and 300yds. Using a 55 gallon barrel for support.

Another ‘shoot-til-you-hit, shoot-til-you-miss’ scenario on Stage Four, offhand with targets at 150 and 200yds. And six pistol rounds at a medium 25yd. target.

Stage Five, the tie breaker, started with the grenade pitch and then six pistol rounds at a small 25yd. target. Engage until hit and then move with targets at 125, 160 and 220yds. From any unsupported position.

Possible high score of 73.

April 2019 ViMBAR Match

A good turnout for this month’s match. Jim and Bill set up five ten round stages starting with:

Rapid fire / slow fire on Stage One. From prone position, 25 seconds to fire five rounds at a 250yd. target. Reload, and 90 seconds to fire five rounds at a 300yd. target.

Sweeping targets at 100, 200, 300 and 400yds. on Stage Two, from sitting supported position. Two points for all 400yd. hits.

Alternating targets at 175 and 225 yds. on Stage Three. Sitting unsupported.

Six pistol rounds at a 25yd. target to start Stage Four, and then alternate targets at 150 and 200yds. from standing position.

The grenade pitch started the tie breaker, Stage Five. Then six pistol rounds at a 25yd. target. A Nevada Sweep with targets at 160, 220 and 125yds from any unsupported position, including a mandatory reload.

Possible high score of 67.

March 2019 ViMBAR Match

Cool and bright for this month’s match. Jim and Bill set up five stages, all ten rounds.

A different spin on the hostage scenario on Stage One. First, hit the hostage for no point before engaging the bad guy. Targets at 275yds. Prone supported position.

A Nevada Sweep on Stage Two, with targets at 200, 400 and 300yds. Sitting supported. Two points for all hits on the farthest target.

Targets at 150 and 200yds. on Stage Three, with a ‘shoot-til-you-hit, shoot-til-you-miss’ scenario. Sitting unsupported.

Stage Four started with six pistol rounds at a large 35yd. target. Then from standing position, ‘shoot-til-you-hit, shoot-til-you-miss’ with targets at 150 and 200yds.

Stage Five, the tie breaker, started with the grenade pitch and six pistol rounds at a medium 25yd. target. Engage targets at 160, 220 and 100yds. with a Nevada Sweep from any unsupported position.

Possible high score of 69.
