July 2020 ViMBAR Match

A small turnout for our first match back. Jim and Bill set up five quick stages, all ten rounds.

Prone supported on Stage One, engaging ‘Gary’ at 250yds.

Alternate targets at 400 and 300yds on Stage Two, from sitting supported position. No sight adjustment after the first shot. Two points for all hits on the 400yd. target.

Sitting unsupported on Stage Three, alternating targets at 150 and 200yds.

Engage a single 175yd. Target on Stage Four, from standing position.

The grenade pitch to start Stage Five, and then six pistol rounds at a medium 25yd. target. From any unsupported position, engage targets at 100, 160 and 220yds. Three, three and four rounds.

Possible high score of 64.

March 2020 ViMBAR Match

 A small turnout for this month’s match, but good weather with only light winds.

Rapid fire to start Stage One, with 25 seconds to engage a 250yd. target, five rounds. Then five more at a 300yd. target, slow fire. All from prone supported position.

Sweep front to back and repeat on Stage Two, with targets at 200, 300 and 400yds. Two points for all 400yd. hits. Sitting supported.

Sitting unsupported on Stage Three, engaging targets at 200, 175 and 225yds. with a Nevada Sweep.

Stage Four started with six pistol rounds at a large 35yd. target. Then from standing position, engage targets at 150 and 200yds with a ‘shoot-til-you-hit, shoot-til-you-miss’ scenario.

The grenade pitch started the tie breaker Stage Five, followed by six pistol rounds at a small 25yd. target. Then from any unsupported position, engage targets at 160, 220 and 100yds. Nevada Sweep.

A good turnout for this month’s match. Sunny, but cool with light winds. Jim and Bill set up five stages, ten rounds each. All stages ‘shoot-til-you-hit, shoot-til-you-miss’ scenarios unless otherwise stated.

Prone supported on Stage One, with two targets at 250yds.

A Nevada Sweep on Stage Two, from sitting supported position. Targets at 400, 200 and 300yds. No sight adjustment after the first shot.

Sitting unsupported on Stage Three, engaging targets at 150 and 200yds.

Six pistol rounds at a 30yd. target to start Stage Four, then engage targets at 150 and 200yds. from standing position.

The tie breaker, Stage Five, started with the bayonet throw and grenade pitch. Engage a 25yd. pistol target, six rounds. Then from any unsupported position, engage targets at 160, 220 and 100yds, Nevada Sweep. Mandatory reload.

Possible high score of 66.
