August ViMBAR Match

A good turnout for this month’s match. Jim and Bill set up five stages, all ten rounds.

The tie breaker, Stage One, started with the grenade pitch and six pistol rounds at a medium 25yd. target. From any unsupported position, alternate targets at 200 and 300yds.

Bill’s Special on Stage Two. From prone supported position, engage a 250yd. target, five rounds, 25 seconds maximum. Then engage a 300yd. target with five more rounds.

Sitting supported on Stage Three, with targets at 100, 200, 300 and 400yds. Double tap and move. No sight adjustment after the first shot.

A Nevada Sweep on Stage Four, engaging targets at 150, 200 and 150yds. Sitting unsupported.

Six pistol rounds at a large 35yd. target to start Stage Five. From standing position, alternate targets at 150 and 200yds.

Possible high score of 65.

July ViMBAR Match

Hot with light winds for this month’s match. Jim and Bill set up five stages, all ten rounds.
 
The tie breaker, Stage One, started with the grenade pitch and six pistol rounds at a large 20yd. target. From any unsupported position, engage targets at 100, 200 and 300yds with 3, 3, and 4 rounds.
 
A hostage scenario on Stage Two, with a single 250yd. target. Prone supported. Don’t hit ‘Gary” !
 
Sitting supported on Stage Three, engaging targets at 100, 400 and 300yds with a Nevada Sweep. Two points for all 400yd. hits.
 
70 seconds for all shots on a single 200yd. target on Stage Four.
 
Sitting unsupported.
 
Six pistol rounds to start Stage Five. From standing position, engage targets at 150, 200 and 150yds, Nevada Sweep.
 
Possible high score of 70.

June ViMBAR Match

Starting to get hot out there, and a bit breezy!  A small but dedicated group for this month’s match. Jim and Bill set up five stages, all ten rounds.

Stage One, the tie breaker, started with the grenade pitch and six pistol rounds at a medium 25yd. target. From any unsupported position, sweep targets at 300, 200 and 100yds. and repeat. Mandatory reload.

Prone supported on Stage Two, alternating a skinny 200yd. target and ‘Gary’ at 300yds. Two points for all hits on ‘Gary’.

Hit twice and move on Stage Three, from sitting supported position. Targets at 100, 200, 300 and 400yds. Two points for all 400yd. hits. No sight adjustment after the first shot.

Shoot-til-you-hit, shoot-til-you-miss on Stage Four, with targets at 150 and 200yds. Sitting unsupported.

Six pistol rounds to start Stage Five at a medium 30yd. target. Then another  ‘shoot-til-you-hit, shoot-til-you-miss’ scenario with targets at 150 and 200yds. Offhand position.

Possible high score of 74.
