The morning started out cool with no wind, ideal for the match.  We were able to get two relays completed before the breeze started.  Before we knew it, we had WIND!  Not only did we have to manage that but it also brought the temperature down.  Tha did not deter our group of shooters.  We had more shooters clear the rack (8 hits in 8 shots) than the last two matches combined (7). Next month will hopefully have better weather and more successful attempts at “clearing the rack” so make sure you join us on the 3^rd Saturday of each month.

It was a beautiful day to be at DSRPC shooting Know Your Limits racks. Temperature was nice but halfway through the event the wind started picking up. The shooters were able to make the necessary adjustments and scores suffered little. We can’t wait for next month’s event, rumor has it we will have a new youth shooter competing with a .22 caliber “air rifle.” This will be new to us but we are excited to have more youth shooters. Please remember, youth shooters shoot free when accompanied by a shooting adult. Take advantage of this great deal and bring out the kids or grandkids!

Desert Sportsman Rifle and Pistol Club held it first Know Your Limits (KYL) match on August 20, 2022, and it was well attended with 21 shooters. Even though it was pretty warm and humid the shooters had a lot of fun. One shooter had more fun than the rest, high scorer and youth shooter, Cooper Rausenberger. Cooper cleared the rack on each of the four relays for the high score of 32 out of a possible 32. Congratulations Cooper! We hope to see more shooters on the 3rd Saturday of each month at Range 4 and see what you can score.
