May 2021 IDPA Match

Las Vegas IDPA May 9th Match Results

Thank you so much to our work crew, stage designers, and accounting staff for making these matches possible. We could not do this without you!

We had a beautiful day on the range today. Next month will be hot so bring plenty of sunscreen and water. I think with the way we are going to design our stages and bays next month we should be able to get out of there at a reasonable hour and avoid the heat.

Honorable mentions for today’s results go out to the following in order of placement:
Overall First Place Jim Tadlock
CO First Place Jim Tadlock
SSP First Place Chad Cunningham
ESP First Place Scott Valentine
CCP First Place Marc Koch
Rev First Place Harold Morrison
We will see you all next month!

Thanks!
Chad

January 2021 IDPA Match

Match date JANUARY 10, 2021

Our Monthly Match was held on Range 2, and we had 43 shooters including 3 ladies and 2 youth shooters. Weather was cold in the morning, but by the end the match it was great. We had a good turnout of volunteers to set up and tear down and things went smoothly.

Angelo announced that the new Match Director would be Chad Cunningham beginning in February and that the appropriate paperwork and nominations were handled at the last general meeting. Around of thanks was given to Tony, Chad, Dan, Scott, Mark and Paul for their help over the past years (and hope that they would continue to work with Chad in the future).

An announcement was made that there would be a cleanup / work day at the range on the 6th of February at 8:00 to clean out the storage bins and make repairs to other equipment. Anyone that is available, come on out.

We had our standard 6 stages consisting of approximately 50 targets and 100 rounds.

Top shooters by Division were:

CDP, Robert Glotfelty, 257.54.

Carry Optic, David Huang, 111.56 (1st overall)

Enhanced Service Pistol, Scott Valentine, 161.02.

Pistol Caliber Carbine, No Shooters.

Stock Service Pistol, Paul Perez, 203.42.

True Carry, Jim Tadlock, 160.64.

True Carry Back Up, no shooters.

Revolver, No shooters.

IDPA matches are the second Sunday of each month and registration is handled online at Practiscore.com beginning the Sunday before the match. Just search for IDPA matches in Las Vegas and it will show up (not posted until registration opens). Range members get to squad first, until Tuesday when volunteers and others can squad. Remember, volunteers for set up and tear down get precedence over other shooters in the squadding schedule and their match fee is comped, so please consider volunteering.
