22 BPCR Silhouette Match

To create a match that mirrors BPCR Silhouette in all respects. The course of fire. Scoring, and rifles permitted are in keeping with the spirit of BPRC Silhouette. Exposed hammer single shot rifles. Lever Action, and bolt action hunting style rifles will be allowed, but must loaded one round at a time. In this event the distances are shorter, and the caliber of the guns will be .22 rimfire. The distances of the targets were adopted to allow this event to be fired at most rifle/pistol ranges. In keeping with the shorter distances, the size of the animals are reduced accordingly to maintain the challenge of the match.

The course of fire will be 40 shots for record, one shot at each target, chickens, pigs, turkeys, and rams. 40 shots – 10 in a row, you will have 8 minutes to shoot unlimited sighters and one shot on each set of targets of a bank of ten targets

Once the shooter has announced his intention to go for record; targets are shot in sequence, 1 shot per target (10 shots for 10 targets) Targets shot out of sequence will be scored a miss. If a target is missed, shoot will move on to the next target, Chickens will be shot off-hand, Pigs, Turkeys, and rams may be shot offhand or sitting or prone from crossed sticks. Cross sticks must be BPCR Silhouette legal.

Sighter targets/Targets to be placed at the following distances;

Chickens- 50 meters/yards

Pigs – 100 meters/yards

Turkeys – 150 meters/yards

Rams – 200 meters/yards

These are common distances at our club and other clubs around the country, some clubs have established different distances for this game, so these are not absolute distances, but are intended as a guideline for those wishing to start this game.

The match fee will be ten dollars per shooter per gun that they shoot. First time shooters will be free to shoot their first match.
