This was the second match of the new season and we did a Two Gun Match with a .22 Rifle and a Subgun. The weather was perfect, warm and sunny. We were on Range 10 because of the USPSA Nationals. The shooter started with the Rifle and had to take down a plate rack of 5 very small targets twice.
The shooter then moved to another position and took out several steel dinger cowboy targets. Shooter then moved to another position and took out more steel dingers. We used spotters and counters like a cowboy match and we didn’t have to reset any targets. The two man team event had one member using the .22 Rifle and the other member using the Subgun.
Next month will be a Subgun Only match with “ Mandatory Reloads.” It will be held on 11/14/12. Setup 0800. Match starts at 0900. It should be a bit cooler for this one. Our Website is temporarily down so I didn’t take any pictures but it should be up and running in a few weeks and I will also post the scores there.

Finally had a match with outstanding weather which I am sure had an influence on the turnout. We started with the 100 Yard match first which Keith Myers placed first shooting a perfect 250 with 13 X’s. After shooting 5 record targets we moved the frames and added extra wind flags for the 200 yard match. By this time mirage came in for a visit and decided to stick around the remainder of the match. Shooters were having difficulty trying to read the conditions with dropped shots and a few choice words. The top score at 200 yards was a 247-6X shot by Keith Myers. Tom Debacco took second shooting a 245-2X and third was Howard Bloom with a 244-2X. In Factory class Ron Ainsworth swept both yardages and won the 100/200 aggregate with a score of 434-3X.

On September 29, 2012 a 200 Yard Reduced Course, 40 shot, CMP Highpower Rifle Match and an F Class 300 Yard Match were held on Range 6. Match results are as follows.
Bill Hardy was the overall CMP match winner, with an aggregate score of 351-2X out of a possible score of 400. Andrew Wade and Klaus Toma took 2nd and 3rd places respectively with scores of 323-2X and 269-4X. Robert Atkinson scored 226-4X in what was his first CMP Highpower Rifle match.
In the 20 shot F Class match, Dave Smith took first place with a score of 198-6X out of a possible score of 200-20X. Allan Coffin took 2nd place with a very good score of 196-8X.
The next CMP and F Class Matches have yet to be scheduled, but until the repairs to Range 8 are completed, future CMP matches will be scheduled on either a Work Party Saturday (4th Saturday of the month) or, whenever possible, the 5th Saturday of the month.
