It seems like I can just cut and paste most of the match day descriptions but really, every match that we have had other than the inaugural has had near perfect weather, so…
What a wonderful morning in the Redrock Canyon area. It was around 60 degrees at the beginning of the match and may have barely hit 75 degrees at the end. Winds were light and variable not only in speed but also direction a bit.
We started out with a Cold Bore stage as a hostage rescue on paper at 224y… We then hit a stage shooting at 646y to 1005y back and forth 4 times. From there we went to a positional stage using a strap. We went paper again at 333y as an opportunity for each shooter to know exactly what their rifles shot at that distance. We finished off with 2 more positional stages using a spool and a stool then wrapping up with a strong side support side drill and a rack. All day was back and forth, in and out with side to side mixed in. any shooters commented that it was a bunch of fun.
We had 17 shooters today. Most of the competitors today were experienced match shooters. We did have 1- 1st time match shooter along with a few new to us shooters. Everything seemed very laid back and it seemed like everyone was having as much fun socializing as they did shooting. Just the way it should be.
A big thank you to everyone for helping setup and tear down the match as well as being perfect with the safety protocols.

Next month’s match will be on the 3rd Saturday, November 18th. This will be the final match of the year and if the weather is accommodating we may just stretch thing out a bunch and really mix things up.
