Wow, what a wonderful morning in the Redrock Canyon area. It was around 70 degrees at the beginning of the match and may have barely hit 80 degrees at the end. Winds were light and variable not only in speed but also direction a bit.
We started out with a Cold Bore stage bouncing back and for between 333 and 425 yards. We then moved into 2 stages shooting horizontal racks, one being a forgiving KYL stage. After that precision shooting on small circles at 98 yard. That led us into a holdover stage shooting 2-moa circles at long range. We finished up strong with back to back to back positional stages.
We had 13 shooters today. Most of the competitors today were experienced match shooters. We did have 1- 1st time match shooter along with a new to us shooter. We had a slightly different mix of shooters today and it seemed very laid back and comfortable. Thanks to everyone for taking safety seriously and making for a fun morning in the canyon.
