It was another beautiful day in Red Rock Canyon, but that has been the case all summer. The heat has finally broke and temperatures ran from 63* to 75*. Winds were light most of the morning but kicked up a bit at the end of the match.
We setup at 7am and started shooting at 8am. The match consisted of paper stages at 100 and 333 yards and steel stages from 224 to 646 yards. We had a paper stage at 333 yards that was a challenge with the wind and not being able to see hits and another paper stage at 100 that will just be known as “The Fog of War”. Very fun!
There were 58 shots with a possible 72 points. We had 1 first time competitors to this type of match along with an array of our regular veterans. Overall it was a perfect morning and fun for everyone.
Next month’s match will be on the 4th Saturday as usual October 22th.
