This was the last match of our season before the Summer break. The weather was beautiful. It was cool for June with a slight breeze.
This was a very involved Subgun match that Jack had designed. Magazines could only be loaded with 28 rounds and you reloaded as needed. At the first stage the shooter started behind a barricade and had to shoot paper and pins weak handed. Shooter then moved to the next position and shot through the barrel at more paper and pins. Shooter then moved to the low barricade and shoot poppers and lollypops. Moving to another position the shooter had to take out 18 steel targets in a color designated order. Another move to the final position and the death star waited for you. The range was reset for the second run.
It was a fun match and very challenging. A team event was held after the main match. We had a few new shooters join our group for this match and we welcome them to our family. Personally I want to thank Jack & John Wylie for all that they do to make this match happen. They have been with me since the beginning and without them we would be unable to make this happen every month. Another shout out to Mikayla Nebel who took over the paperwork and target setting. She has made this much easier for all of us old guys and her shooting ability has come a long way. I am very proud of her. I also want to thank all of you shooters who come out and support us and also help with setting up and tearing down. Have a great Summer and hope to see you all back in September.
Don’t forget to check out and register on our website at www.vegasshooters.net for updates and photos. Several photos and videos were taken and I will try to upload them in the next few days.
