This was the ninth match of our season and the weather was beautiful. They were calling for rain but we got lucky. It turned out beautiful and cool. As we were finishing up we noticed the clouds and rain coming over the mountain. We were packed up and gone before it got to us.
We had a light turnout and the match went very quickly. This was a Subgun only match with mandatory reloads. At the first stage the shooter picked up a grenade from the table and ran to a shooting box and then tossed the grenade to a specific target area surrounded by 5 poppers. If the grenade landed in the area the shooter did not have to engage those targets as they were neutralized by the grenade. If the grenade misses the target the shooter will have to engage those targets.
Shooter then ran to his pre-staged empty sub gun, loaded it and proceeded to stage two where he had to engage alternating plates and dingers. Shooter then reloaded and moved to another position and took out steel targets set up in the shape of a “M“ for mothers day, or maybe for Mikayla as she did a awesome job coming in second overall. The range was reset for the second run. We did do a team event at the end of the main match.
Don’t forget to check out and register on our new website at www.vegasshooters.net for updates and photos. Several photos were taken and I will try to upload them in the next few days. Next month will be a regular Subgun match and Jack has some evil plans for the last match of the season. Date will be 6/12/16. We may start earlier because of the heat. I will notify you before the match date. See you then.
