This was the sixth match of our season and the weather was perfect. We got lucky again. Another beautiful day with sunny skies and no wind. This was a Subgun only match without mandatory reloads. In honor of St. Valentines day we had a special class for the Thompson SMG. Jim Coe brought out his beautiful 1937 Studebaker and a few guys dressed in Gangster Garb and we took several photos.
The match was Valentine themed as the shooter engaged 3 Heart shaped paper targets, sweeping them. The shooter then moved to position two and took out a plate rack with a continuous burst. If he was successful a 10 second bonus was deducted from his time. He then moved to position 3 and engaged a dozen steel knockdowns set up in the shape of a heart. The range was reset for the second run.
The match moved along quickly and we were finished around noon. A two man team event followed the main match.
Next month will be our annual Bowling Pin Belt fed match. There will be 3 classes for this match. Subgun, Full Auto Assault Rifles and Belt fed (Weapons shot off a Tripod fall into this class and all subguns will also be in one class regardless of sights or caliber). We will need pin setters for this match so please contact me if your kid wants to earn a few bucks. Match will on March 9th at 0900. Setup at 0800.
