We shot the 300 yard match first on account of suspect winds and looming late morning mirage. Five shooters in the custom class showed up to test their skills against the fore mentioned elements. Sheldon Turf took a commanding lead throughout the match and won in some prevailing tough conditions.
|Sheldon Turf||247-2x||1st place|
|Ron Carter||243 2x||2nd place|
|Howie Bloom||242-1x||3rd place|
Target frames where moved and relocated to the 200 yard shooing line for the second match.
We shot one of the newer targets for the Ground hog discipline (smaller). As usual, shooters had a difficult time seeing the target through the mirage and holding off for wind drift. Much discussion and cussing has come up in regards to the new target. Tough beans !!!
New 100-220 yd. targets are on the design and drawing board as we speak.
|Sheldon Turf||225-3x||1st place|
|Ron Carter||218-1x||2nd place|
|David “Doc” Smith||217-4x||3rd place|
|Sheldon Turf||472-5x||1st place|
|Ron Carter||461-3x||2nd place|
|Howie Bloom||451-3x||3rd place|
This was a very interesting, fun, but competitive rifle match. Sorry Mr. Seines & Mr. Myers missed it !!
