April was a near record month for the SSCS’s. Big Bore Sun. was normal but Small Bore Sun. saw a turn out like we haven’t seen in quite some time. All the stars just fell into alignment. Robert and Gene were here to qualify for the Intl’s, Andy and Mel finally stopped watching and shot some entries and Moose and JR came over from the land of fruits and nuts and shot 4 entries. Those last two guys are not typical Californites(that’s the clean version) and are welcome here anytime they can make.
Val was playing host to the CA. boys but he didn’t treat them very nicely, shooting two 40’s, one on the 1/5 scale targets, to beat both of them. They did shoot some very nice scores but Val was apparently up to the challenge.
Val also shot two 40’s on BB Sun. Debi shot a good enough score to beat Don and Robert showed up with his gun and a rag. The gun is a FA 41 mag and the rag is to wipe my drool off of it. He even shot one of his better scores with it.
Art is holding his own and I think would do better with a little practice, but then again, who wouldn’t? Mel and Andy both shot good scores for their first time out. Let’s see how they do next month. Debi had an off day but Don was even worse. Al shot his usual 40 but then had to leave. Get well Al, we miss those double 40 days of yours.
Joe shot two US scores, one in FP and one in SB. Both were good for most, but you know Joe, he strives for perfection.
In FP Robert did okay, but he would have done better with the FA 41. Don did win PAS but, Debi doesn’t shoot that category.
Shoot Well, Take Care… Hg.
