January turned out to be a pretty slow month for the SCSS’s. The weather did not cooperate at all. On Big Bore Sun. Al did, of course, get his 40 but he only shot the big animals. Val shot a 39 on the big ones but he wasn’t using a scope, no offense Al. Debi Wright shot a nice 36 in UAS and that was good enough to scare Don into shooting another catagory. Gary shot a 30 with open sights. He can, and I’m sure will, shoot higher scores soon. I know, I catch him cheatin’ from time to time.
Al couldn’t make our Small Bore match and he didn’t miss much. The Kingman Breezes came up early and hard. No one shot a 2nd gun that day. Val Shaver started out okay on chickens and pigs in FP but the Wind made it almost impossible after that to shoot Standing. Debi and Don both did well with their scoped gun but, of course, Debi did just a little better beating Don 38 to 36.
Hopefully the weather will cooperate in Feb. and we can send some more guns through the line.
Til then Shoot Well and Take Care Hg.
